3rd August - Letter to Begbies Traynor

Dear Mr Sadler,

Re: Revised CVA Proposal

We are writing following a meeting of the Supporters Trust for Crawley Town Football Club, which was attend by a significant number of our members, and your recent conversation with our Secretary.

The Devils Trust has serious concerns at the prospect of the SA Group, and its associates, continuing to be involved in the management of the club. Our priority is the long term survival and sustainability of the football club, and like most football fans we want to see a successful club operating in a high league.

We do not believe that the offer of the SA Group, if accepted, can provide for the long term survival or success of the club. It should not be forgotten that it is the SA Group's management over the last 12 months that has resulted in this situation.

We would also draw to your attention that despite the Majeeds assurance to you, as of today's date at least one player remains unpaid.

As such, we request that you make efforts to obtain guarantees from the SA Group that they will adhere to the following commitments regarding their future management and conduct at the club:

1. We advise that the bid should be accepted on a strictly cash basis.

2. In line with a revised CVA proposal:
2.1. The unconnected Creditors are paid at the earliest opportunity and in a lump sum, a suggested dividend of not less than 12 pence in the £.
2.2. The football Creditors are paid immediately.

3. The SA Group, and it associates, do not tarnish the name of the club in any way including through their financial management, treatment of staff and behaviour towards the club's supporters. In addition, that they take action to re-establish the good name of the club through good management practice.

4. That a Management Group is established, including members of the Devils Trust and Supporter's Club, and that this Group receives recognition and involvement in the day to day management of the club. This will enable all parties to work together for the benefit of the club.

5. As members of the Management Group, the Devils Trust will receive financial information relating to the management of the club including the cash position, aged creditors and summary P&L.

Only once we have received these guarantees will we recommend to our members that the revised CVA scheme is adopted.

If the SA Group, or its associates, fail to satisfy you on these matters we would ask that you seriously consider the prospect of the club starting again, in a lower league, as the best alternative in the long term.

Thank you for taking the views of the fans into consideration.

We look forward to receiving a constructive response shortly.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Ogbourne   Simon King         David Morley
