09 April - Devils Trust update

It was agreed at a meeting of the Devils Trust in October 2007 that we would adopt a deliberate low-profile policy in order to deny others the opportunity of blaming the Trust for provoking events at the club and concentrate instead on our own projects and developments.

We have stuck to this policy - in the face of provocation - but wish to issue this statement regarding recent changes in the ownership of CTFC.

Public statement on behalf of the board of The Devils Trust:

"The Devils Trust are obviously delighted with the news that the Majeeds are no longer associated with CTFC (we were surprised that they had apparently left last summer) but as usual they leave in disgrace without paying their bills.

In this instance they failed to pay a sizeable amount due to John Duly for
the original purchase of the club in Summer 2005, while we are pleased to see John return, we wish the circumstances gave everyone more positive cause for celebration.

At this stage we do not wish to comment on the individual shareholders or plans that have been floated. Instead we await a credible formal announcement and hope that greater clarity and probity can be re-established at CTFC.

We will be delighted to arrange a meeting with all of the new owners, when they have finally decided who they actually are."

The Devils Trust is the trading name for Crawley Town Supporters Society Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society
registered with the Registrar of Friendly Societies. Registered Number: 30100R
