09 August - Devils Trust asks fans to stand together

The Devils Trust invites all fans of Crawley Town to join them and stand together in order to build a better future for the club.

Most fans can remember times when Crawley was a happy, well-respected, well-run and progressive club. And we are determined to do what we can to bring about a situation where Red Devils fans can again hold their heads high and be proud of their family-friendly, successful club at the heart of their community.

Since the Trust was formed last year, we have not been afraid to voice our concern that the club has not been run in an appropriate manner by the Majeed family. And events this week have conclusively proved that we were correct to pursue a vigorous policy of placing the club executive under continual scrutiny.

Despite a lack of appreciation from club officials for the aims and objectives of the trust, which has limited the extent to which we can directly assist the club, there has been a tremendous spirit among the membership and there is a determination that by working together we can use our influence for the good of Crawley Town and the community as a whole.

We believe we have demonstrated we are run in an open and accountable fashion, and the board will always listen to opinions of members when shaping policy.

We firmly believe that the Trust is there to represent the views of the fans to the owners and not vice-versa.

To make our voice even more influential, we invite all true fans of Crawley Town to consider joining us as members, add your valued opinions to the mix and be as active within the trust as you wish.

By joining you will not only be standing shoulder to shoulder with your fellow fans, you will also be helping to show prospective purchasers of the club that there are supporters at Crawley who want to see the club back where it belongs.

And while the membership fee is just £15 a year for adults and £10 for juniors and OAPs, your contribution will also help us undertake more community projects - we expect to announce plans of the latest of those shortly.

The Devils Trust remains the natural home for anyone who cares about the past, present and future of our once-great club.
