13 December - Devils Trust update

At the Trust Beer and Buffet night it was agreed that the Trust would give an initial donation of £500 towards the players’ health insurance, which it is hoped will be presented to physio Richard Massimo on the pitch before a forthcoming match.

The cheque will be made payable directly to the insurance company.

The Trust also gave assent for a further £500 donation to be made in the same way provided that the relationship between the trust and the club progresses in a satisfactory manner and that the club make good on previous commitments given to the trust.

The Trust board revealed that they are working towards running free football coaching courses for schoolchildren in Crawley and are talking to a number of schools in the area with the aim of launching in the next year.

The trust are aiming to organise another Devils Trust Crawley Town Legends match following the successful debut of the team at the Trust launch last year. It is hoped the game will be played in May against a similar Legends side from another club.

FREE MEMBERSHIP FOR 2008!
The Devils Trust board have decided that current members will receive free membership for 2008, while new members can join for just £5.

Trust chairman Mark Ogbourne said: “The board have decided to waive the membership fee for 2008 to say thank you to the members who helped us get up and running. We appreciate their support.

“We have to make a nominal charge for new members to satisfy the trust rules but hope the £5 fee for new members will help swell our numbers.

“The trust is here to stay and we will continue to provide all CTFC supporters with a voice on how they want their club to be run. By reducing the fee we hope as many fans of Crawley Town as possible will be able to join and add their own opinions and ideas.”
