27 May - Statement from the Devils Trust board

The Devils Trust board welcome the change of ownership at Crawley Town FC.

We have contacted club chairman Victor Marley with a view to arranging a meeting and very much hope our offer will be accepted in order that the Trust can build a harmonious relationship with the club.

The two clubs promoted from the Blue Square Premier this season, Aldershot Town and Exeter City, both benefit from working with supporters trusts and it is our intention that Crawley Town can follow their successful examples.

The full advantages of a trust can only be felt with the cooperation of its football club and to that end we look forward to enjoying a far closer working relationship with the new CTFC board than has been the case previously.

It has been said that the recent ownership change is a new start for the club and this is the chance for the new directors to put that concept into practice.

It has been refreshing to hear club officials speak of a new era of openness and transparency and we look forward to sharing our ideas with them of how we can help Crawley Town return to its proper position as a family-friendly club at the heart of the community.

The Devils Trust AGM will be held on June 26. Details will be sent to members in the next week.

The Devils Trust is the trading name for Crawley Town Supporters Society Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society
