Season 2009-10 - The Devils Trust Local Heroes

Guests should present themselves in the stadium main reception an hour before kick-off (traditionally Saturday kick-off is 3:00pm, midweek is 7:45pm). Any problems on matchday, please contact Steve Mansell who is a club director and our liaison for the scheme.

Please note that car parking at the ground is limited and you may be charged a few quid. Plenty of local street parking exists.

Ian Hands & his son Darren. Ian ran the club shop at Town Mead and the Broadfield for twenty years, often in that time the money he generated was vital to paying the bills. He has been suffering lately as he has had one entire knee replaced and a "bionic" one fitted...! Nominated by: Colin Lowes

Nick Buckfield and his son Milo. In recognition of his continued contribution to local athletics, Crawley lad Nick represented GB in the pole-vault competition at the World Championships & Olympic Games and England at the Commonwealth Games. Nominated by: Simon Hall

Tanya Sladovich and partner of Sure-Start day centres & nurseries, Tanya began as a volunteer and is now an out-reach worker. I quote: "they do good practical things for families and kids" Nominated by: CTFC Chair Victor Marley

Mr.Barber and grandson Matthew. Just one of those guys who make a quiet and selfless contribution to the community and doesn't expect anything in return, so was very surprised to discover that he had been nominated by our own Sgt Darren Taylor.

Michael Elliot and Ernie Pratt. Michael is the local organiser of the recent Royal British Legion Remembrance Day Poppy Appeal and Ernie is a local volunteer for the Legion. Nominated by David Morley.

Steve Cheffy and Jason Hill. Steve is the local co-ordinator for Macmillan Cancer Care and Jason is a local volunteer. Nominated by John Hooper.

Dan Walker and Mark Cole (Editor of BBC Football Focus). Dan is the presenter of BBC Football Focus and a long-time Crawley Town FC fan. He will be launching the Trust's Christmas fund-raising project. Nominated by Ant Weller.

Geoff Thornton & Phil Holmwood. They were put forward by the Commitee of the Crawley & District Football League after a nomination by Ian Mulcahy who felt that as the league is in it's final season, many years of hard work in promoting grassroots football in the town should be recognised.

Chris Blackmore (Chairman) and Ben O' Connor (Sports Reporter) for Hospital Radio Crawley, nominated by CTFCs answer to Lara Croft, Flick.

TAMWORTH
John the Gas made an emotional posthumous nomination on behalf of the late Maurice Mitchell, Grandfather of Ross.

"Maurice was my Scout Leader at the now defunct 1st Ifield. A very kind & caring Man if ever there was one, with extensive knowledge.That man taught me a lot, which I'm now passing on to my fellow Scouts at 1st Roffey".

The recipients were scout leaders Pauline Moore and Beryl Weller.
